The Brief

When the client approached Webphoria the brief was to tidy up their website, change the font and the colours of the text.

Upon further investigation it was found that the site was built poorly, was riddled with W3C errors and performing badly in the search engines.

Our first task was to research the competition in the flight comparison market, identify where the current site lacked in functionality and suggest improvements.

What We Did

The first thing we decided on was the logo. The old logo was outdated and very similar to other sites in the same industry.

We wanted to move away from flight comparison being the cliche of the clip art aeroplane and move the logo into the 21st century.

After a brainstorming session we put some ideas down on paper and presented them to the client. The decision on the new logo was unanimous and a couple of revisions later we had established the brand.

The next step was to design and build the website using popular elements from other websites as well as integrating the unique map functions Flight Direction employ.

The End Result

An easy to use, W3C compliant, search engine friendly website that has the flexibility to adapt to all the new functionality the client is introducing but maintaining the distinct look.

Webphoria have also designed a number of brochure for Flight Direction for use at the major travel exhibitions.
